Which trading platforms are available to me?

Ironbeam offers many trading platforms. Visit our platform page to view your options. If there is a platform that you are interested in that is not listed on our platform page, call our help desk to check availability. Ironbeam is compatible with many platforms that are not listed on our website.

What are the fees for the various platforms?

Since we offer a large number of trading platforms and vendors can change their fee structures from time to time, we do not list third-party platform fees on our website. The best way to check what the fees are for a certain platform would be to visit the vendor’s website.

How do I get set up on a trading platform?

Let us know which trading platform you would like to be set up on during the account opening process, and we will take care of it for you upon the opening of your account.

How do I switch trading platforms?

Once you know which trading platform you would like to be switched to, send our Client Services department an email with the request: [email protected]. They will be in touch right away and make the necessary changes.

Does Ironbeam offer trading platform support?

Ironbeam’s client services desk is fully trained on the Ironbeam trading platform and can answer any questions you may have about it. For third-party platforms, you will need to contact the vendor for support on software-specific questions.

Does Ironbeam offer a free trading platform?

Yes, the Ironbeam trading platform is offered for free.

Hello,
I interested in using the metatrader 5 android app, as a platform to trade. Is this going to be possible.

  We do not currently support Metatrader 5, however we do support most other platforms.

  We support any Ninja license that was purchased prior to March of 2015. If the license is newer than that, we unfortunately cannot support it.

What is the major difference between the Firetip and Firetip X as far as order placing? Is there any difference in latency and connectivity to Globex? What is your method of connectivity?

  There is no difference between the two in terms of latency. Both go through the same engines that are colocated at the exchange datacenter. Contingent orders are managed serverside for the lowest possible latency. So triggered orders are executed right on the server that is there at the datacenter.

    If using Firetip X is there also a 45 cent per trade fee?
    Does Firetip X have the capability of doing complex bracket orders/strategies to mitigate risk once you’re in the profit? For example moving stop to breakeven once you’re up x amount of points and converting hard stop to trailing stop. If this is possible is all of this handled on the server or on the local machine?

      There is no $0.45 fee for using Firetip X. Firetip X offers you the capability of not only OCO & complex bracket orders, but you can create your own order types from scratch and save them for future use. All orders are stored server-side, not on your computer.

Some of your Introducing Brokers offer the FireTip Basic platform which has zero fees. Next year, when Firetip X is no longer free, will there be an option to switch to a free platform like Firetip basic ?

  The Firetip Basic platform does have a $0.45/side routing fee (so not “zero fees”). Firetip X does not have this routing fee. You can switch to Firetip Basic at any time.

Do customers also get access to the legacy desktop platform (with charting) when they sign-up for FiretipX ? If yes, is there any additional cost for using that old-FireTip-installed-on-PC (which includes DOM + Chart) platform ?

  Customers can opt-in for access to Firetip Legacy, however the free platform promotion is only for Firetip X. The Pro Legacy platform is still $49/mo with no per-side platform fees.

  Firetip doesn’t use any third party data source. It has its own dedicated data feed that is hosted at the Aurora data center where CME is.

Can Firetip X use range, volume and tick charts?
Can the DOM display LTQ so that we can see the amount of size hitting into the best bid/offer?

How do I change the DOM settings to show market depth at 10 prices? Right now, it is only showing 1 bid and 1 ask and I can see no way to adjust the setting.

  All orders are stored server-side. If you lose connection, your orders placed on the Ironbeam Platform are still working.
