The Ironbeam API enables developers and traders to build custom trading applications, algorithmic strategies, and data integrations directly connected to Ironbeam’s trading infrastructure. This article covers eligibility requirements, access tiers, and pricing.
Account Requirements
A live, funded trading account with a minimum balance of $1,000 is required to access the Ironbeam API — including access to the simulation (sim) environment. This requirement applies to all API access tiers without exception.
Note: Paper trading or unfunded accounts do not qualify for API access. API credentials will not be issued until the minimum funding requirement is met.
API Access Tiers
Ironbeam offers multiple API access tiers based on your trading activity and use case.
Free API Access (Active Trader)
Traders who meet the minimum activity threshold of 5 contracts traded per month receive API access at no additional charge. Free API access includes:
Live Trading API — Full access to execute orders, manage positions, and stream real-time market data
Simulation API — Access to the sim environment with 10-minute delayed market data
This tier is designed for active traders using the API as part of their regular trading workflow.
Read-Only / Development Access
For accounts that do not meet the 5-contract monthly trading minimum, API access is available starting at $249/month. Pricing may vary depending on your use case (e.g., data feeds, third-party integrations, development environments). Enterprise Access
For firms, technology providers, or high-volume use cases requiring dedicated infrastructure, custom integrations, or white-label solutions, Ironbeam offers Enterprise API Access with pricing tailored to your needs.
Enterprise access may include:
High-throughput or co-location connectivity
Custom SLA and support arrangements
Multi-account or sub-account API management
White-label or introducing broker integrations

Simulation API with Live Market Data
By default, the Simulation API included with free access uses 10-minute delayed market data. If your workflow requires the sim environment with live (real-time) market data, this is available as a $99/month add-on plus any applicable market data fees.
